Easihold™ Installation Instructions

Preparation (the KEY):

1. Ensure the area is free from leaf litter and general debris.
2. Finish the area with a layer of washed and dried stone aggregate – minimum 20mm thick – re-using existing stone is fine; however it needs to be clean and dry.
   Note: Stone aggregates should be no greater than 10mm in diameter. We do not recommend the use of super porous aggregate such as sandstone or lime as these can absorb the Easihold™ eliminating the ability to create a bond between stones.
3. Rake the stone aggregate to achieve a consistent level across the area.
4. Compact the stone aggregate – to obtain the smoothest / flattest finish manually compact the stone with a square metal trowel ensuring all undulations in the finished area are eliminated and the aggregate is tightly compacted.

Application (The EASY PART!)

Spray-On

1. Recommended coverage rate is up to 1 Litre per 2m² – can’t get any simpler than that!
2. Empty required amount of EASIHOLD™ to a common garden pressure sprayer.
3. With the nozzle placed at approximately 50mm from the finished surface spray the stone aggregate from the pressure sprayer aiming to obtain a consistent coverage and “working” the EASIHOLD™ into the edges and areas between individual stones – this will create the greatest bond!
4. Leave EASIHOLD™ to cure for 24 hours.
5. If the chosen area is subject to heavier foot traffic – re-apply a 2^nd coat as above – same rates, same process.

Batch Mixed

For applications that demand a deeper finishing layer batch-mixed application can be opted for.

1. In a suitably sized mixing clean mixing tub, gradually combine 1 Litre of EASIHOLD™ to 40kg of 3-10mm sized clean and dry aggregate and mix with an electric mixing drill for approximately 2-3 minutes or until all the aggregate is evenly coated.
2. Pour the combined aggregate mix to the desired location and evenly trowel out to an approximate depth of 30mm, ensuring the surface is flat and the aggregate is well compacted.
3. Repeat the process over until the desired area is fully covered, ensuring that each batch is blended evenly in to the previous at maximum of 15 minute intervals to avoid variances in the finish.

Precautions and Advice

1. For best results follow the always follow the Application Instructions

3. Easihoild is not suitable for damp, wet environments – avoid areas that are submersed in water or are subject to poor drainage.
4. Avoid over spray to nearby structures and flora.
5. Use only in well ventilated areas.
6. Return any unused EASIHOLD™ to the original container for future use.
7. Wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves and safety googles during application.
8. Immediately remove any spillages with water and a damp cloth.

Clean Up and Storage

• Clean up equipment in water prior to the EASIHOLD™ curing.
• Keep EASIHOLD™ in its own container with the lid tightly secured for a period of up to 12 months.
• Dispose of the packaging thoughtfully.
